Gibi Camara is from the Susu tribe and from a family of Djembe Djeli (Griots). The Camara family are an important part of the cultural history of Guinea Conakary, The Gambia and West Africa. In Guinea Conakary Gibi Kebba (Elder and Grandfather of young Gibi) and Tomas Camara have contributed greatly to the Djoliba - The National Drumming and Dance Ballet.

Gibi, like father Tomas is one teacher not to miss and will give any Djembe players more ability and inspiration; TECHNIQUE & Rhythm.
